11 Mirrors Design Hotel by FACE the Service presents a collaboration with Ukrainian artist Oksana Levchenya for Vyshyvanka Day
As part of the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day, 11 Mirrors Design Hotel by FACE the Service, in collaboration with Ukrainian artist Oksana Levchenya, unveils a special textile installation created specifically for the hotel’s interior.
This artistic project is a refined tribute to Ukrainian cultural heritage, reimagined through the lens of contemporary art. The installation continues the hotel's creative philosophy — to be a space for bold ideas, modern design, and art that reveals and celebrates Ukrainian identity on the global stage.
Oksana Levchenya is a multidisciplinary artist working with textile, creating artistic panels, signature carpets, and immersive installations. Her works have gained international recognition for their depth, symbolism, and distinctive visual language.
The central element of the installation, placed in the hotel’s showcase window, functions as a textile sculpture — rich in meaning, layers, and form. It merges two of Levchenya’s signature carpets with a textile mask. While the carpets reinterpret traditional Ukrainian ornamentation, the integration of contemporary visual elements introduces a striking tension between past and future. This unexpected interplay of symbols adds irony and depth, turning the work into a visual parable about legacy, imagination, and cultural self-definition. The face at the heart of the composition sets the tone for the entire piece, with geometric features that radiate calm, balance, and inner light.
Another textile mask welcomes guests at the hotel reception. It features three faces, symbolizing the harmony of past, present, and future — and embodying hope, joy, and faith in brighter days. This piece serves as a visual blessing to every visitor: a gentle reminder to preserve inner wholeness and light, even in times of change.
